How to Create a Free Zapier Account

Get set up on Zapier so you can connect your apps and automate workflows. No coding needed, takes about 2 minutes.

Before you start

You'll need:

1. An email address (or a Google or Microsoft account if you prefer)
2. A rough idea of what apps you want to connect (you do not need to know how yet, just which tools you use)

Step 1, Go to Zapier

Open zapier.com →

1. Open your browser and go to zapier.com.
2. Click Sign up free (or Get started free) on the homepage.

Step 2, Create your account

1. You can sign up with your Google account, Microsoft account, or a regular email address.
2. If you use email, enter your name, email, and create a password.
3. Verify your email if prompted.

Tip. Google sign-up is the fastest. One click and you're in, no extra password to manage.

Step 3, Skip the setup wizard

After signing up, Zapier may walk you through a setup wizard asking what apps you use. You can:

• Skip it. Click "Skip" or "I'll set up later" to go straight to your dashboard.
• Or answer the questions. It helps Zapier suggest relevant automations, but it's not required.

Step 4, What to know about the free plan

Zapier's free plan includes:

• 100 tasks per month. A "task" is one action, like sending one email.
• 5 active Zaps (automations) at a time.
• Single-step Zaps (one trigger plus one action).

Good to know. The free plan is enough to get started and test your automations. If you need multi-step workflows or higher volume, you can upgrade later. No credit card is required to start.

Verify it worked

If you can see the Zapier dashboard with a "Make a Zap" or "Create" button, you're in. Your account is ready to start connecting apps.

Step 5, Bookmark it

Save zapier.com/app/dashboard as a bookmark so you can jump straight to your Zaps next time.

What's next? During the workshop, we'll connect Zapier to your email and your AI bot. For now, just having the account created is all you need.
